After studying at UC Berkeley,
I became a teacher of Spanish language and
literature, but my love of nature and plants
eventually changed my career. I received a
degree in Horticulture from Merritt College
and initially worked for the City of Berkeley Parks and Recreation Dept.
I formed “Wildewood Gardens”
in partnership with a landscape architect, and
together we designed and installed gardens throughout the Bay Area. This developing
business flourished, enabling the addition of a
nursery in Napa that supplied stock for many Bay
Area nurseries.
I formed my own design/install company more than
20 years ago and have been published in Sunset
Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, and the San
Francisco Chronicle’s Garden section.
Additionally, my gardens have been featured on
numerous tours.
